Republic Day India – Republic Day in India is celebrated on 26th January every year with great honour to the Constitution of India. On 26 January 1950, Constitution of India came into the action. On this day, a national holiday is declared by the Government of India.
History of Republic Day of India
India got freedom from the British Empire on 15 August 1947, but we did not have the strong constitution to govern such a large country. Then National Assembly made a special committee to draft the new constitution. The first copy of the constitution was drafted on 4th November 1947. But it was completely perfect then the final copy of the constitution was presented on 24the January 1950 which was finally signed by the national Assembly
And then the day came when the constitution of India came into the action on 26 January 1950. The constitution of India gave the power to Indian people to choose their own government. And one the biggest history is created when the first president of India took oath on this very special day. From 26 January 1950, Indian people celebrate their Republic Day every year on 26 January.
Republic Day Celebration
As India celebrate Independence Day as we got freedom from the British Empire on 15 August 1947. We all Indian also celebrate another national celebration Republic Day as the constitution of India came into the action on 26 January 1950. We celebrate Republic Day every year on 26th January. The focus of the Republic Day celebration is the Republic Day Parade on Rajpath in New Delhi. This celebration is celebrated in the presence of all governing people including the President of India and Prime Minister of India. An excellent parade and salute is showed by the Indian Armed Forces at Rajpath, New Delhi in front of India Gate.
January 26 is declared as a national holiday in India by Indian Government. This national festival is celebrated in all over the India with great enthusiasm and patriotism by the Indian people. Republic Day is also celebrated in schools, colleges, universities and other educational institution by students and teachers.
How Republic Day of India is celebrated in different-different zones of India.
As we know Events and celebration is perfectly organized by Government of India at Rajpath in New Delhi. A huge military parade took place at Rajpath in New Delhi on every 26 January. All Indian Armed Forces participate in this parade in their own style.
Republic Day celebration starts when Prime Minister of India garland at Amar Jawan Jyoti at the India Gate. It is done in the honor of those brave soldiers who lost their lives while protecting our country from the unauthorized people and terrorists. The military salute is taken by the President of India who is actually the commander in chief of armed forces.
National award like Maha Veer Chakra, Ashok Chakra, Param Veer Chakra, Veer Chakra and so many bravery medals are distributed to the brave soldiers from Armed Forces, common people and students. Air Force choppers and helicopters shows their terrific talent in the surrounding area of India Gate. School children perform dance on the various patriotic songs. Indian Armed Force soldiers perform motorcycle rides while Indian Air Force perform flying parade in the sky by their fighter planes. These fighter planes make an amazing tri color of the Indian national Flag in the sky.
So many cultural programs and events are performed in different states of India. All the Government and Private offices and banks are closed on this day. So much security and forces are organized by the government of India so that there should not be any problem to common people.
Special Flashback to Republic Day 2016
First time in Indian history from 1950, French contingent participated in Republic Day Parade with Indian Armed Forces.
After so many years, Indian Army dogs came to participate in the Republic Day Parade 2016 at Rajpath. Approx. 36 Indian Army Dogs including 24 Labradors and 12 German Shepherds participated in the Republic Day.
The timing of 201Republic Day Parade reduced 15 minutes by Indian Government.
Happy Republic Day 2017
Republic Day is one of the three national holidays of India, other two are Independence Day celebrated on 15 August and Gandhi Jayanti on 2 October. In 2017, we are again going to celebrate republic day on 26th January at Thrusday. India will celebrate its 68th Republic Day in 2017.
Chief Guest on Happy Republic Day 2017
Every year India invite a special chief guest from the other countries as we saw US President Barak Obama in 2015 and President of France Francois Hollande in 2016. On Republic Day 2017, the chief guest will be Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
